Legal information
Terms
Terms for using the Limetree Legal website and SaaS dashboard.
Scope
These terms apply to the public Limetree Legal website and, unless a separate agreement applies, to access to the Limetree Legal SaaS dashboard.
If a customer agreement, order form, data processing agreement, or other written agreement exists between Limetree Legal and a customer, that agreement takes precedence for the relevant services.
Service
Limetree Legal provides software for trademark research, filing preparation, portfolio management, monitoring, and related legal operations workflows.
The service is intended to organize information, support analysis, and help teams coordinate trademark work. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, official register review, or qualified legal advice.
Accounts and organizations
Dashboard access may require a valid account, organization membership, or invitation. Users must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials confidential.
Organization administrators are responsible for managing access rights, inviting appropriate users, and removing access when it is no longer required.
Customer content
Users are responsible for the files, trademarks, notes, portfolio records, monitoring settings, and other content they upload or enter into the service.
By using the service, users grant Limetree Legal the rights necessary to host, process, display, transmit, and back up that content solely for providing and securing the service.
Results and legal review
Search results, generated text, classifications, monitoring signals, and other outputs may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate and must be reviewed before business or legal decisions are made.
Users remain responsible for assessing registrability, conflicts, deadlines, filing strategy, and communication with trademark offices or third parties.
Availability and changes
We aim to operate the service reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security work, third-party outages, or technical issues may affect access.
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features where this is necessary for security, compliance, product development, or operational reasons.
Fees and paid services
Paid plans, usage limits, support levels, and billing terms are governed by the applicable order, plan description, or customer agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed, fees are due as stated in the applicable commercial terms and do not include taxes, duties, or third-party official fees.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend access where necessary to protect the service, comply with law, prevent misuse, or address unpaid fees or material breaches.
After termination, access to the dashboard may end and customer content may be deleted after a reasonable retention period unless legal or contractual obligations require longer retention.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Where legally permitted, the courts with jurisdiction for Hamburg, Germany, are responsible for disputes relating to these terms.
